Primitive Stain Recipe

I have for many years used the traditional primitive recipe which consists of instant coffee, vanilla extract and cinnamon. It’s been a great stain to use for aging my primitive pieces. However, lately I have not been liking the scent or the slight tinge of orange on my pieces that coffee leaves behind. So, I went on a search for something else and had remembered when I used to paint mixed media art that I used walnut ink! I loved how it gave it rich, warmer brown tone and I also love that I can make it as light or dark as I want. I can add vanilla and cinnamon to it too and it gives a very nice scent.

Here are some new pieces that have been added to my shop!
