Meet Cassandra Welcome to Willow Heart Prims As you know I am Cassandra, my love and I have two sons and two pups. We live in the Blue Ridge mountains of North Carolina. I started making primitive pieces about twenty years ago and I would make primitive wood signs for our home. I loved distressing the wood, staining it, painting it and then rough sanding it to give it that worn rustic look. I then found my love for primitive dolls. Oh, the best part of making my dolls was the staining process to give them that worn primitive look and the smell of cinnamon on them. Heavenly. After a few years of doing that I took a break to follow another path that had peaked my interest and that was of mixed media art which I love to do but making primitive snowmen, primitive pumpkins and other primitive pieces is where my heart finds the most joy.
